For the first time, more than 20 tonnes of seeds were given by VT to flood affected farmers

On 23rd and 24th of October, HH Sri Chinnajeeyar Swamiji arranged to distribute Maize seeds to the farmers. 20 Tons of high yielding good variety seeds (worth about Rs.25 Lakhs) were sponsored by Smt. Vanaja & Sriman Gundavaram Bhaskar Rao of M/S Kaveri Seeds company Ltd. in response to the call of HH Sri Swamiji. Sriman G.Gangaraju from Vijayawada Laila Group of companies also sponsored for some part of maize seeds to about 2500 acres.

VTSeva in India organised a Medical Camp in the premises of JIVA, Samshabad on Sept 5th 2009. Students of JIVA Gurukulum, Students of Netravidyalaya Junior College (For Blind) as well as the staff and their families have participated in this camp. The camp was conducted by the Doctors of YASHODA Hospitals, Secunderabad.

Aug 2009 - Enthusiastic young volunteers from USA participate in VTSeva Service Activities in India (Bharat)

Kids and youth from USA who were excited at the projects of VTSEVA, after having interaction with HH Sri Chinnajeeyar Swamiji in USA during Swamiji's visit in June 2009, started responding in a wonderful way showing all their concern to serve the deserved children coming all the way to INDIA. They showed lot of interest in knowing about how the children in the remote places are being educated, how the Blind children are getting education and in what way they can help them. They shared their experiences and knowledge with these kids and students in the schools supported by VTSEVA. More Details...

June 8th 2009 -  VT Seva Awareness Event in Dallas
 
More than 400 people gathered at Coppell Middle School East and provided their heartfelt support to the VT Seva's cause of engaging youth to serve the underprivileged. The program started with Prajna student meet followed by classical dance.

'Mr. Harikishan Eppanapally, president of VT Seva Organization, presented the mission, vision and various service activities conducted by VT Seva to the audience. He highlighted the main focus areas of "Educating the Blind", "Educating and empowering the Tribals", "Health Awareness (Cancer Awareness) in rural areas",  and "Environmental Protection."'
 
HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji inspired the audience about the meaning of "service" with good analogies. He motivated the youth to volunteer their time, talents and support the underprivileged by cutting down on their luxuries. Youngsters Pavanya Manthena and Anand Jayanthi have shared their thoughts in response. More youngsters have joined them on the dias to launch VT Seva Dallas local chapter to carry on the mission.  Mr. Dayakar Puskur, a prominent leader has pledged his support to the organization. Mr. Prasad Thotakura, TANA President Elect and Mr. Sudarshan Acharya, Lead India 2020 Founder have attended the event. Srimathi Sumana Garlapati & Srimathi Manjula Muppidi have come forward to conduct a "learn with fun" summer camp and contribute 70% of its proceeds to VT Seva services. The program concluded with Sri Krishna Vennamaneni, the VT Seva secretary encouraging the youngsters to visit the projects run by VT Seva (Blind college and schools, Tribal Schools, Cancer Awareness Activities, Environmental protection) and take part in them to have a first hand experience of how the organization is serving the underprivileged.
 
The event was a grand success and we would like to thank all the volunteers, participants, patrons and above all, our YOUTH for their spirit and service. - Pictures of the event


May 24 2009:
VTSEVA website formally launched by Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji during the inauguration of 25th anniversary of Telugu Fine Arts Society (TFAS) in New Jersey. Sri Swamiji inaugurated the event, delivered keynote speech and educated the audience regarding the concept of "fine art" and its role in good society development. Sri Swamiji also mentioned how good educative fine arts is a form of entertainment that can aid in people development. He also spoke about the importance of Telugu being the second most ancient language after Sanskrit and the dedication and importance of Telugu people in preserving the ancient fine arts to carry forward to the future generations.

Sri Hari Eppanapalli was appointed President of VTSEVA USA. Sri Murali Duggirala along with Sri Hari Eppanapalli coordinated the event.
