HH Sri Swamiji guided several participants in the Cancer Awareness Walk organised at Warangal on a massive scale. About 10,000 people participated in the event.

HH blessed all the volunteers for making people understand the importance of precautions to be taken to avoid cancer, a dangerous disease.

Immediately after completion of the walk at Warangal HH Sri Swamiji travelled to Hyderabad, the Capital city of Andhra Pradesh. HH reached The Indo American Research Centre, the Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital, Banjara Hills at 4.30 PM. By that time many people were ready with cancer awareness banners.

A number of young volunteers and youth took part in this programme. All the nurses working on this project in the Cancer hospital have come in their duty attire, holding the placards showing that "Cancer is not a contageous disease" , "Cancer can be treated if detected in the very early stages" etc..

A number of doctors under the co-ordination of Dr. Sriman Mohan Vamsi, Oncologist Indo American Research Centre, have participated with a lot of enthusiasm and zeal to spread the message among masses. Vikasa Tarangini President Sriman E.Rama Rao along with the team of VT/JET members organised the event.

A.P. Ministers for Health in the present and previous governments have participated in the inauguration of the walk. THe walk started at the Basavatarakam. Cancer Hospital and passing through the foot path reached the Appollo Hospitals passing through the park of the Check Post.

Every one is satisfied with the efforts of Vikasatarangini to bring awareness among public about the cancer. The walk with Swamiji was a great experience to the officials as well as the public.

Volunteers distributed the flyers about the cancer, its detection techniques and its prevention measures to most of the public. The whole crowd reached the Appollo Hospitals along with HH Sri Swamiji.

Doctors gave wonderful messages about the Cancer and said that modern food habits should be shunned and eating junk/fast foods has to be minimized. They also advised not to become victims of cancer by consuming more alcoholic drinks etc. It is said that TOBACCO is the main cause for causing this disease easily. Obesity and unusual weakness also may be the indications of cancer.

Doctors spoke about the disease and its preventive measures, in the ending programme organised in the Appollo Hospital campus. HH blessed them all for good information and said that it is the duty of every one who thinks about the welfare of the public to respond by setting aside some of their earnings to donate for helping the victims of such diseases, to help the organisations serving them, to help the hospitals and patients.

HH offered special blessings to all who are working on such services. HH also recommended the government to take special care and introduce courses in all the universities and the colleges to make more number of people available to serve the community as there is immediate need. The programme ended with the benedictions by HH Sri Swamiji. Ministers too promised that they shall seriously consider this issue and take necessary steps.

All the participants were provided with snacks at the end of the programme.
