Cancer Awareness Outreach Program - India
The VTSeva cancer outreach program is a pilot program for spreading awareness, prevention and early detection of cancer among the poor people of rural areas of Andhra Pradesh, India. The program was launched in Oct 2007. VTSeva has organized walkathon and events in various parts of USA, India & Australia to promote awareness among the people.

Cancer Detection & Screening Camps

Feb 04 2011 - "CANCER AWARENESS DAY"
VT Visakhapatnam



International event of World Cancer Awareness Day - Feb 4 2011 was celebrated by VT Visakhapatnam, in Rambilli Mandal of Visakhapatnam District. A Free Cancer Detection Camp and Awareness Walk was organized.

The walk was started at ZP High school Rambilli and went through the
villages YETAPETA, VADAPALEM, RAMBILLI PHC and back to the school.

450 students of 9th and 10th classes (both boys and girls) participated along with their teachers. The physical director Smt. Tulasi Satyavati assisted very well and lead the students. The PHC staff and school staff also participated in the walk.

VT volunteer & teacher Smt. Ch.Bhanumathi coordinated the program well.

About 30 VT volunteers participated.

Free food & Awareness pamphlets were distributed to all at the end of the Walk.
