Free Cancer Detection & Screening Camps - VT Nepal

Inspired by the motivation given by the founder Sri Chinnajeeyar Swamiji for social service , VT Nepal volunteers have taken up the Cancer Pre-Detection and Screening Programme in different areas in Nepal.

Cancer Awareness Camp & General Medical Camps by VT Nepal

Uma and Laxmi conducted 4th VIA camp on 4th Feb 2011 at Rajahar, Nawalparasi 15 kolimetere away from Gaindakot in the west direction near higway. 200 women participated. Among them General health checkup was done for 50 women, VIA test for 141 women. Among them, three women were diagnosed VIA positive, 6 O.V. prolapsed. The local people have participated actively. Sriman Aatreyaji & 2 volunteers from Kathmandu participated. This camp was organized with the help of Bharatpur Medical Teaching Hospital.

VT Nepal (Laxmi & Uma) organized 3rd VIA+Eye camp at Devaghat in two places one in nearby Laxminarayana Mandir and another on the other side of Trisuli river at Dharmarth hospital the branch of Bharatpur
Medical college. From Kathmandu 4 volunteers actively participated. More than 300 people benefitted. Among them 18 were diagnosed positive and were referred for free operation and treatment
at Maulakali Hospital Bharatpur Chitawan. 11 elder women have undergone free operation of Motiavindu at eye hospital Bharatpur. People from various social groups participated. Students also assisted in this camp physically and monetarily. Sriman Shiva Raj Pokherel provided Prasadam to the doctors and Volunteers
groups.
