Tsunami Relief Activities
Thousands of VTSeva volunteers reached out to help people in the devastated Tsunami affected coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh and Tamilnadu. VTSeva actively carried out several relief operations by providing food, clothing, building houses, colonies (neighborhoods), and schools. They also provided free boats and nets to the fishermen to help provide their livelihood.

Members of the JET Australia Foundation recently presented a cheque for over $10,000 to the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children (RIDBC). This money was raised from the group’s inaugural event – a classical indian dance festival held in August 2008

Gujarat Earthquake Relief
Several hundred houses were built for thousands of earthquake victims who were left without shelter during the most destructive earthquake in Surat, Gujarat in 2001. VTSeva also built 86 houses in a colony (neighborhood) for the earthquake victims in Vallabhapur, Gujarat, India.


Flood Relief
Konaseema, the coastal regions of Andhra Pradesh, were severely affected by floods during the year 1997. Again in 2009 several districts of Andhra Pradesh, was inundated with flood waters. VTSeva & Vikasatarangini - India, participated in the flood relief programs by providing the people with housing, clothing, food for dozens of families.
